Services provided by the Consortium
Support provided by the Consortium
(1)Individual information session by IB education advisors
Overview
IB education advisors provide individual explanations (online and in person) to educational institutions that are interested in the introduction of The International Baccalaureate Organization (known as the IB) programmes. They will provide the necessary advice and share examples according to the situation of the institution asking the question.
The IB education advisors are composed of IB teachers and administrative executives with practical experience working at IB World Schools and are appointed by the Consortium Secretariat. At the request of the Consortium Secretariat, they will be engaged in the introduction of IB education, specific explanations and advice on putting IB classes and educational activities into practice, presentation of successful cases, and various other activities that help to promote IB education.
(2)Providing nominal support of the Consortium when holding IB-related event
Overview
If you hold an event related to the IB programmes, we can provide nominal support from the MEXT Consortium for Promotion of IB Education. However, please refrain from holding events that could lead to student recruitment or advertising for specific schools. Please apply using the form below.
(3)Providing information through the ICT platform (AirCampus) *Registration is required.
AirCampus is a platform where consortium members (for group members) can gain a wide range of knowledge about the IB online and conduct discussions and share information. Registration and use are free. *Individuals can register as well, but they can only view the information.

Activities to promote IB education with Consortium members
What is Consortium Membership?
We are currently recruiting organizations—schools, local governments, and companies—that can become a member of the MEXT Consortium for Promotion of IB Education. We would ask consortium members to spread and promote the IB in Japan. Membership is free, and no fees will be charged, including registration fees. When you become a consortium member, you are entitled to the following:
(1)Participation in communication conferences by concerned parties as well as representative conferences
Once you are registered as a consortium member, you will be entitled to participation in communication conferences by concerned parties as well as representative conferences.
The communication conference by concerned parties is composed of each stakeholder involved in the promotion of IB education, such as PYP schools, MYP schools, DP schools, candidate and interested schools, local governments, and universities, while the representative conference is composed of representatives from each communication conference.
We share issues and successful cases at each communication conference and discuss collaboration proposals and event plans across stakeholders at the representative conference.
(2)Use of the page only for members on the ICT platform
You will be able to use the page for members on the ICT platform (AirCampus). A bulletin board for member interaction and information exchange will be available to members. Moreover, even organizations that are not considering the introduction of IB at this time can obtain useful information from the perspective of using the expertise in IB education for existing educational curriculum.
